Probably the Alps or Pyrenees in late spring, or Greece or Turkey. Yes, there is a lot of choice! Perhaps someday. Meanwhile I'll just enjoy yours, and let you figure out all the good places to find them! And you are certainly right about the luck factor!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7432461418078268195.post-64143113785177549352014-07-31T18:05:19.565+01:002014-07-31T18:05:19.565+01:00Hi Sylvia. There is so much luck involved in being in the right place at the right time. It is lovely - very dry - a big contrast to Scotland. We would love to move to Spain or France to enjoy the drier weather (and the butterflies!)!Nick Morganhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06431235724349702199noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7432461418078268195.post-44412378257047790362014-07-31T02:38:39.113+01:002014-07-31T02:38:39.113+01:00Nick, I tried to comment on this post about 30 tim...Nick, I tried to comment on this post about 30 times since last week, and I never could! I think these are some of the most phenomenal shots and butterflies you've got so far. Just gorgeous. I don't even know where to begin, these are all so great. What an amazing place. I can see why you would want to return here.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7432461418078268195.post-5961517440882699042014-07-29T20:40:57.317+01:002014-07-29T20:40:57.317+01:00Hi Sonjia. I am still trying to work out how many species I saw in the Sierra Nevada along with those near the house and in Gibraltar!Nick Morganhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06431235724349702199noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7432461418078268195.post-7067269150260493012014-07-29T07:31:52.770+01:002014-07-29T07:31:52.770+01:00Hello Nick!:) It's quite an acheivement to hav...Hello Nick!:) It's quite an acheivement to have seen and photographed so many species. You took some beautiful shots here, many of which I know, but I didn't know the Geranium Bronze, or the Dusky Heath, both such pretty butterflies.Breathtakinghttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03883608347810648676noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7432461418078268195.post-81959019707028807202014-07-23T23:55:32.121+01:002014-07-23T23:55:32.121+01:00Hi Noushka, Southern Spain is beautiful away from ...Hi Noushka, Southern Spain is beautiful away from the built up, tourist areas. The Southern Gatekeeper was very obliging and it stayed on that plant for a few minutes offering me various views! However, it would only open its wings for a second at a time every so often!Nick Morganhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06431235724349702199noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7432461418078268195.post-86632973372912869412014-07-22T14:23:34.935+01:002014-07-22T14:23:34.935+01:00Despite your disappointment with the smaller numbe...Despite your disappointment with the smaller numbers of butterflies, you still managed to snapped some lovely photos.
